PLAYING SECTIONS AND RATE OF PLAY:

MUNSTER Championship

FIDE Rated 5 Round Swiss Event

Rating Requirement - An ICU or FIDE rating of 1400 or over will be the minimum requirement for the Senior Championship both from the September published lists

RATE OF PLAY - 90 minutes for all moves + 30 seconds per move from move 1

2nd Joe Browne Cup

ICU Rated 6 Round Swiss Event

Rating Requirement - An ICU rating of 1499 or below will be the requirement for the Joe Browne Cup according to the September 2016 published list

RATE OF PLAY - 75 minutes for all moves + 15 seconds per move from move 1

ENTRY to the MUNSTER Championship is restricted to players who are originally from, or who have been residents in Munster for at least 1 year, The Joe Browne Cup is open to all ICU members.

ENTRY FEES:

FIDE rated Championship - 35 euro

If paid online at MCU website

on or before September 14th

*Entry on the day will be - 45 euro

ICU rated Joe Browne Cup - 30 euro

If paid online at MCU website.

on or before September 14th

*Entry on the day will be - 40 euro

Family discount 55 euro for 2 players from same family; 75 euro for 3 or more players from same family

All playing equipment will be provided.

Default time is 1 hour for all rounds
