Please note:
- This non-rated event is open to chess players or members of the public who know the Rules of chess .
- The tournament will be held outdoors. Four gazebos will be erected in the museum rear garden to provide shelter in case of rain.

Number of entries is limited to 16 due to social distancing rules, with 2 boards played under each tent and the final to be played on the giant chess board,
weather permitting.
- Face masks are recommended.
- There will be a chess Arbiter present who will do the player pairings(random) for this knockout tournament.
- Default start time is 15 minutes i.e. anyone coming more than 15 minutes after the starting time for the game will lose on time.
- The Arbiter's decision is final if there are any disputes.
- If a game ends in a draw, there will be a further 5 minutes a side blitz game to decide the winner.
- Sets & clocks are provided at venue by the Limerick chess club.
- Time limit: 30 minutes each player for all moves.
