The Limerick Open 2014 was held on the October Bank holiday weekend (25th-27th Oct) at the South Court hotel Limerick. There were 81 entries in both the Philip Hogarty Open(37 players including 2 GMs and an FM) and the Under 1400 Sections(44 players).
Prize winners list:
In the Phillip Hogarty Open section, 4 players finished in joint first on 5/6, GM Petr Neumann(tie-break winner), FM Colm Daly, GM Sarunas Sulskis, and Hugh Doyle
Round 5 leaders FM Colm Daly and GM Sulskis drew their last round game thus allowing GM Petr Neumann(win v James Danaher) and Hugh Doyle(win v Tom O'Gorman) to catch them in joint first in Round 6 and share first prize money, with GM Petr Neumann taking the perpetual trophy on tie-break.

Joint second prize was won by Brian Farragher, Joshua Redmond and Padraig Dwyer on 5/6 points.
